´Pentagon spending on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and
to fight terrorism elsewhere has reached $685.7 billion since 2001, a U.S. government watchdog agency said on Monday. The
Government Accountability Office, or GAO, said the Iraq war accounted for $533.5 billion in Defense Department spending obligations
through last December, while spending on operations in Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa and the Philippines totaled $124.1
billion. The remaining $28.1 billion was for operations to defend the U.S. mainland, the GAO said in a letter to Congress
dated March 30.´
Work hard - a global Empire is dependent upon your tax money. And remember to wave your
Federal flag - that reassures our blockhead leaders in the District of Corruption. Isn´t this a wonderful Empire
we live under?
'Most remarkably, the administration demanded that GM CEO Rick
Wagoner resign so the company could remake itself “with a clean sheet of paper.” And he did, effective immediately.
The administration also said GM has been given a “goal of replacing a majority of the board over the coming months.”'
The transformation to a fully fascist regime is basically complete now with the union of Big Business, Big Banking
and Finance and Big Government. Oh joy!
'Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to war we go! As President Barack
Obama winds down the Bush war in Iraq, he is building up his own war farther east. We're told that it will be a new, expanded,
extra-special American adventure in Afghanistan, involving a vigorous surge strategy to "stabilize" this perpetually
unstable land. The initial surge will add 17,000 troops to the 36,000 already there. Then, later this year, there is to be
a second troop surge of another 17,000 or so.... We're not told how much this escalation will cost, but it will at least
double the $2 billion a month that American taxpayers are already shelling out for the Afghan war.'
'The only way to get this oppressive tyrant - known as the federal
government - off our back is to break away from it and start anew. That 28 states are starting to fan the flames of rebellion
by moving towards a sovereign agenda is fairly significant. States and people must declare their sovereignty and remove the
tentacles of the federal government's oppressive laws from their necks. Only a breakup of this monstrous and out-of-control,
despotic giant can save freedom.'
'Tobacco users are facing a big hit as the single largest federal
tobacco tax increase ever takes effect Wednesday. Tobacco companies and public health advocates, longtime foes in the nicotine
battles, are trying to turn the situation to their advantage. Medical groups see a tax increase right in the middle of a recession
as a great incentive to help persuade smokers to quit. Tobacco taxes are soaring to finance a major expansion of health insurance
for children. President Barack Obama signed that health initiative soon after taking office. Other tobacco products, from
cigars to pipes and smokeless, will see similarly large tax increases, too. The total expected to be raised over the 4 1/2
year-long health insurance expansion is nearly $33 billion...Congress also is considering legislation to empower the Food
and Drug Administration to regulate tobacco...Obama...said he would sign such a bill...Some policy analysts have questioned
the wisdom of boosting tobacco taxes to finance health care for children. They argue that the fate of such a broad program
should not depend on revenues derived from a minority of the adult population...But smoking control advocates such as Lindblom
say tobacco taxes should be even higher.'
We Southrons did not vote Obama or his policies into power, but Dixie
will nevertheless continue to suffer from the federal government's actions, coming from every direction. He's
not our president, but rest assured that we'll have to pay for such socialist plans as long as we live under the heel
of the feds. I'm not here to tell y'all how to live - to use tobacco or not to use it. Most folks would
admit that excessive use is not the best thing in the world for a body, but then again, drinking too many cokes or having
a diet high in fat can cause the very same health issues. Is the government to then regulate everything we eat
and drink? There are, in fact, such proposed pieces of legislation out there, but we know that all of this
is nonsense! This revolves around control - telling someone what they can and cannot do without any justifiable
reason - and financing the out-of-control spending of the federal government.
Tobacco essentially founded Virginia,
Maryland, and North Carolina and remains a major crop of the Southland. As they tax tobacco products into oblivion,
our farmers suffer. What replaces our farms once they're driven into collapse by the feds? We find ourselves
overrun with housing developments (oftentimes full of hostile outsiders), strip malls, and globalist corporations. This is
yet another attack on our Southron way of life - politically, economically, and culturally. Sadly, such affronts to
our survival and liberty are commonplace under this system. Southrons are second-class citizens, always the ones
being told by a Northern-dominated federal government how to live - never the other way around. Doesn't independence
sound mighty fine right about now?
Sheriff Joe Arpaio Still Standing Strong Against Invasion
'Joe Arpaio, 76, describes himself as "America's toughest
sheriff". He is the head of police of Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix, one of the largest cities in the United
States...He champions a tough law and order stance against crime and illegal immigration. His message strikes a nerve in this
state bordering Mexico - he was recently re-elected sheriff for a fifth consecutive term, with 55% of the vote...Sheriff Arpaio
vehemently denies the accusations against him and says his critics are using him as a "poster boy" to repeal anti-illegal
immigration legislation and force Congress to approve an amnesty. "The majority of people like what I'm doing, that's
why I get re-elected. I serve the people, I don't work for any Congressman, bureaucrat, or government! I'm an elected
sheriff so nothing's going to change."'
´The need to secede “may be a reality sooner than we think,”
said Chuck Norris in Townhall. My president-of-Texas quip was tongue-in-cheek, but the idea behind
it isn’t. Washington is “moving farther and farther from its Founders’ vision and government,” and
the people won’t stand for it. And Texas—it’s own republic from 1836 to 1846—is the logical place
to make a stand.´
´With the 150th anniversary of the War Between the States
in 2011, efforts are under way in statehouses, small towns and counties across the South to push for proclamations or legislation
promoting Confederate history.´
Grant to restore Confederate cemetery and memorial
´The cemetery contains the remains of 1,354 Confederate soldiers
who died at the former Alton Federal Military Prison, and at the quarantine hospital on an island across the Mississippi River.
Prisoners afflicted with smallpox were housed at the hospital during the Civil War.´
'A group advocating independence for the South is starting a
local chapter with a dinner Thursday in Anniston. The national president of the League of the South, a secessionist group,
will speak at the local group's founding meeting at the Anniston Western Sizzlin'. Michael Hill founded the group
in 1994. He said the group plans to have a chapter in every county in the state. The local chapter will be named the John
C. Calhoun Chapter, after the South Carolina senator the county is named for.'
The movement is growing. It's
time to get the Feds out of our lives for good. We have suffered enough tyranny from Washington, DC.
SA: What Happened to the War on Terror? (article and video)
´Listen to virtually any Republican politician or conservative
talk show today and you won’t hear much about Al-Quada, terrorism or 9/11. You will hear one thing and thing only –
how Obama’s massive spending must be stopped. It’s as if the War on Terror never even existed.´
Plans to Repair Confederate Powder Works Chimney in Augusta, GA
´Augusta’s city leaders are making plans to fix some
of Augusta’s history. All that remains of the Confederate Powder Works is the chimney along the Augusta Canal. The Sons
of Confederate Veterans (SCV) group wants to renovate it. The organization says it will pay for all repairs, about $200,000,
if the city will turn over ownership of the chimney to the group.´
´More than 100 people recreated a Confederate army camp Saturday
to celebrate the 144th anniversary of the Battle of Bentonville. It's the largest battle ever fought in North Carolina
during the Civil War, according to North Carolina Historic Sites, which organized the event at the Bentonville Battlefield

Once known as the Athens of America, Annapolis on a warm March day is a pleasant old Southern town in spite
of its throngs of grim but perfectly coiffed carpetbaggers dressed in their drab grays and blacks... Drive down a quiet, deserted
side street and it would be easy for just a moment to forget what has become of the city. But a visit there last Wednesday
to attend a House of Delegates committee hearing brought home to me with depressing clarity the fact that Annapolis is lost
to old blood Marylanders. It is no longer ours.
I was in the capital that particular day
to protest House Bill 1241 which seeks to change the words of "Maryland! My Maryland!" This hymn to secession has
been called the Marseillaise of the South and was written in commemoration of the second battle of the War Between the States
which took place on 19 April 1861 the day Northern troops invaded Baltimore. The bill proposes that the words be replaced
with some tepid drivel written in 1894 by a poet named John T. White. Most offensive to the Yankees, scalawags and foreigners
who sit on the Health and Government Operations Committee is the line "Huzza! she spurns the Northern scum!" To
render those who oppose the bill unthinking and hard-hearted, the reconstructionists on the committee and their ilk, armed
with little to no knowledge of Maryland history, have used in this latest attempt to cleanse the state's unsavory Southern
past every device in the revisionist-egalitarian bag of tricks-much the same ones as were employed seven years ago when the
song came under attack.
At Wednesday's hearing, one proponent of HR 1241 resorted to
the hackneyed recitation of tendentious statistics, suggesting that the Maryland song be revised because only 20,000 from
the state fought for the South while 48,000 (this number varies depending on which Yankee revisionist is speaking) fought
for the North. Anyone who has studied Maryland's role in the war knows that those who self-assuredly rattle off numbers
related to the Marylanders who served North or South are lying or unread. The truth is that no one knows how many bone fide
Old Line Staters fought for either side. A few years ago, Wayde Chrismer, in a paper written for the Greater Emmitsburg (Maryland)
Historical Society, said, "The historian will go crazy who tries to determine with certainty how many Marylanders actually
fought in the two armies. A faster way to an asylum is to try to learn where they came from." Mr. Chrismer, after a careful
"name by name check eliminating all duplications" determined that the figure for the Marylanders who wore blue was
around 40,000.
But many of those 40,000 were Northerners recruited above the Mason Dixon
to fill Maryland's military quotas. Many were free men of African descent and slaves who were drafted or who enlisted
and the Irish and German immigrants who stepped off "the boat" in occupied Baltimore and, happily or unhappily,
into the Union army. Maryland 's representation in the Northern forces is naturally skewed when compared to other unoccupied
Southern states by the very fact of her occupation. Kentucky, considered by many Americans today to be quintessentially Southern,
is, rightly or wrongly, said to have contributed 85,000 men to the Union cause (I will give Kentucky the benefit of the doubt).
Regarding the number of Maryland Confederates, out of the necessity of protecting loved ones left to the tender mercies of
the occupiers, secrecy surrounded their "absconding" across the Potomac. And many joined Virginia or other units
and were not counted as Marylanders. Records were also sketchy or non-existent...
This year,
as in 2002, the reconstructionists are not only quoting misleading statistics, they are, predictably, trotting out "The
Children." As I was arriving at the hearing, I saw a group of elementary students being ushered into the already over-crowded
meeting room. I braced myself for what was to come. Later, in front of the committee, four of these appealing little ones
carefully selected to represent all the correct ethnicities told of their objections to the song with sweet young voices..
Among their criticisms: The words to the song are too difficult for school children to understand (I suggest that their teachers
teach them what the words mean). Another criticism was that the song paints Lincoln as a tyrant.....he was. After they gave
their testimony, the moment I had been dreading was at hand: Their classmates in charmingly off-key kiddie voices broke out
singing the new children's version of "Maryland! My Maryland!" Written by Tom Wisner, a well-meaning, self-styled
Woody Guthrie, it recounts the crossing of the Atlantic by the original settlers of Lord Baltimore's colony and the hopes
of these tempest tossed for a better life. This doggerel could as easily apply to the Massachusetts Pilgrims.
The children received enthusiastic applause of course, and the momentum seemed to be favoring the revisionist do
gooders in the room. The defenders of our song comported themselves well, but they alone received tough questions from the
committee...at least from those committee members who weren't playing solitaire on their laptops or chatting or leaving
the room. One delegate asked a supporter of the traditional song if there had been any "students of color" (which
by the way means "colored students") in his 1950s elementary school class. This is a debating trick. The demographics
in a particular classroom fifty years ago have nothing to do with the real question before the committee: Should Maryland's
state song be changed to advance the larger effort to reconstruct Maryland, to make her more respectably Northern and therefor
more palatable to the state's increasingly "diverse" population.
Northerners
who have relocated to Maryland have supplanted her old culture with a rude Yankee urbiculture and have ridiculed her subtle
Southern speech nearly to extinction. On the way to the hearing I noticed a memorial to the late Louis Goldstein, Maryland
comptroller for many years. Presumably offending the sensibilities of carpetbaggers and their scalawag lapdogs, his "May
God bless y'all real good" appeared on the memorial as the more Northern "May God bless you all real good"
(the "real good" being an endearing example of enallage as well as the grammatical variance here, not the grammatically
correct and idiomatically Southern "y'all"). Maryland's old language having gone the way of her culture,
spoken by just an intractable few and by the dying and forgotten in nursing homes, the haters of anything Southern have turned
their undivided attention to our history, desiring to re-write it, their constant protestations to the contrary notwithstanding.
But those Marylanders who have steadfastly resisted de-racination and who, rising above impotent rage at those who would rob
them of their very identity, have continued to celebrate their Southern heritage, will never, with the help of God, crook
to Northern control.
South Carolinians reasserting their sovereign rights?
It's time to be rid of the District of Criminals for good. This
is a nice first step, but merely hot air unless we have the courage to back it up. Keep the fire on the folks in our State
capitals until we get the Feds out for good.
The Empire's Number One Fascist - John McCain - has announced his support for the new Emperor's clueless financial czar.
'Tim Geithner, the embattled US Treasury secretary, should be given a chance to succeed, says John McCain, the former presidential candidate, who is the
first prominent Republican to speak up in Mr Geithner’s defence amid growing calls for his resignation.'
'Transpants' changing Virginia, just as Chinese are changing Tibet
'Long considered a conservative Southern state when it came
to politics, Virginia turned that image upside down in November when it helped elect the nation's [sic!] first black
president. Many of those voters were in Northern Virginia, home to many transplants from other states. But the election also
prompted some native Virginians to take another look at the statues and what they represent.'
'Transplants'
does not accurately describe the process that is taking place in Dixie. To make this more clear, check out the story below.
Look at how similiar it is.
'The Chinese government encouraged the ethnic Han majority to migrate
to the region through commercial development and other projects. As a result, Chinese became the dominant language over Tibetan
and the assimilation of Tibetans into the Chinese majority has progressed in the educational and cultural fields. The Tibetan
government-in-exile says Han people now outnumber Tibetans in the Tibetan-inhabited areas, including the Tibet Autonomous
Region, which has a total population of about 2.8 million, due to China's migration policy. Meanwhile, the Chinese authorities
have clamped down on monks and residents who took part in antigovernment activities, sent party and military personnel to
temples and forced patriotic education as part of its efforts to repress Tibetan culture.'
'The real issue is that the overall budget is too big, by far,
which is why I always vote against it. But attacking the 1 percent that was earmarked solves nothing. The
whole issue is a distraction from the real problems we face, which are that the Federal Government will absorb over 1/3 of
our country’s GDP this year and taxpayers are forced to fork over more than half their income to fund government at
all levels. On top of that, the national debt is $11 trillion, which is $36,000 per citizen. The recent increases
in bailouts, government spending and money creation is going to hobble our economy for decades. We must curb the government’s
appetite severely if this country is ever to thrive again. The noise over “earmarks” is a red herring and
a distraction from the real issue of uncommitted spending.'
'I, Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States of
America, do declare that said national emergency still continues to exist and pursuant to said section to do hereby prohibit
the hoarding gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States by individuals, partnerships,
associations and corporations and hereby prescribe the following regulations for carrying out the purposes of the order....'
Don't put your gold and silver in bank vaults - the government can easily steal it from you there. They have
done exactly this before so the precedent is already in place. Illegitimate thieves!
'Car parts suppliers in the United States are to receive $5bn
(£3.5bn) in financing from the government. The money will be made available from the government's bank bail-out
fund...GM and Chrysler already received a $17.4bn rescue package from the US government in December. The two companies want
an additional $21.6bn in aid.'
You can call it corporate welfare, a government-run economy (socialism), and
the mergence of government and business (fascism), and you'd be absolutely correct. Regardless of the form
it may ultimately take, the result will essentially be the same: even more unconstitutional theft and control.
Inflation: Our Hard-Earned Dollars Worth Even Less Due to Fed's Policies
'The dollar has fallen against all major currencies after the
US Federal Reserve announced a plan to buy $1.2tn (£843bn) of debt to boost its economy. The dollar fell by 4.2% against
the euro and by 3.9% against the pound. The US currency also declined against the yen, the Norwegian krone, the Australian
dollar and Brazilian real. The Fed's decision to buy debt means it is effectively creating new money, leading to concern
from investors about the over-supply of dollars.'
Pelosi Calls Enforcement of Immigration Law 'Un-American,' Says It 'Must End'
'House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently told a group of both legal
and illegal immigrants and their families that enforcement of existing immigration laws, as currently practiced, is "un-American." The speaker, condemning raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, referred to the immigrants she was addressing
as "very, very patriotic."...The congressman is collecting petitions that ask President Obama to "stop the
immigration raids and deportations that are tearing our marriages, families and children apart." He is expected to present
those petitions when Hispanic members of Congress meet with the President Wednesday. On Saturday night, Pelosi joined Gutierrez
before a cheering crowd at St. Anthony's chanting, "Si se puede," or "Yes we can." Referring to work
site enforcement actions by ICE agents, Pelosi said, "We have to have a change in policy and practice and again ... I
can't say enough, the raids must end. The raids must end."'
There you have it, folks. What further
proof does one need in order to know that this system has not worked, does not, and will not work for us? Under
what kind of an upside-down system do we live? The feds demand that we obey them, ignoring our God, our families,
and our States. Many in our State governments bow down to Washington, instead of protecting us from an invasive
central government. To top it all off, federal officials not only refuse to carry out one of their few legitimate responsibilities,
but they cater to foreign nationals who are here illegally - criminals!
Financially and otherwise irresponsible
individuals are rewarded under the 'economic stimulus,' while responsible, hard-working citizens are punished by paying
the bill. Native, law-abiding citizens are 'un-American,' second-class citizens, while illegals are
the 'patriots.' Do y'all want to be part of such an unjust, backwards system? The feds don't
represent us - they're working against us - and they don't deserve our consent!
Southern National Congress Warns Southerners Against 'Bottomless Bailouts'
'After plunging to ten-year lows that wiped out half the national
value in the stock market from the highs of February 2007 (when the Dow Jones average topped 14,000), Wall Street staged a
four-day rally this past week, climbing out of the 6500 trough to close above 7100. Already Establishment politicians and
pundits are proclaiming that recovery is here and now it's safe to go back in the market. We don't wish to rain on
the parade, but the SNC Board of Governors warns our fellow Southerners not to put any, well, stock in these pronouncements.
For last week also saw other disturbing developments that forestall any realistic hope of an imminent recovery.'

Bobby Tillett to take BJ´s to court over Confederate flag
´After nearly a year of walking to work, on March 5 he filed
suit against his employer, BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc., alleging one count of slander and one count of mutilating or disrespecting
a Confederate flag or replica. Neither Tillett nor his attorney, Dennis Pratt, would return numerous requests for comment,
but according to the complaint Tillett, who works at the company’s Jacksonville distribution center on the Northside,
parked his truck with the displayed flag on site for nearly four years without incident.´
´As a reward for killing 1,400 Palestinians in the Gaza blitzkrieg,
ignoring U.S. demands to stop the building of "settlements" on the West Bank, and vigorous efforts to breach our
security and steal highly classified information via its Washington fifth column, Tel Aviv has been reassured by President
Barack Obama that $30 billion in aid will not be cut. World financial crisis? Impending US bankruptcy? Obama's newfound
sense of fiscal responsibility? Put it out of your mind. All it takes is one phone call from Chuck Schumer, a tête-à-tête
with Nancy Pelosi, and an editorial or two in the Washington Post, and – poof! – "change" turns into
continuity....´
´Rural California is seceding from the urban coast? Well,

Headstone placed to honour Confederate soldier from Nashville
´Cox was a prosperous, 35-year-old attorney from Nashville who abandoned his practice to enlist in the 20th Confederate
Infantry almost a century and a half ago. More than 100 people turned out on the 145th anniversary of his death to watch costumed
re-enactors eulogize M.N. Cox.´
'Recent statements by President Barack Obama, Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton, and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel admitting that they were going to use the economic crisis to
get other things done is at least surprisingly honest. But it is also hypocritical. Remember when some of these
same people criticized George W. Bush for using the 9/11 tragedy to invade the unrelated nation of Iraq?'
'...The U.S. government scoured the blackened countryside for
the remains of its soldiers, for reburial in national cemeteries. The state governments that had comprised the Confederacy
did not have the means to do the same for the Southern war dead. It was Southern women who stepped in and organized themselves
to handle the daunting task of burials and reburials. During that process, they also helped to define Confederate remembrance.'
SC Governor evokes Zimbabwe in arguments against stimulus

'Although historically controversial, at Neosho, the legislature
passed a bill known as the Neosho Secession Ordinance on Oct. 30, 1861 and Gov. Claiborne Fox Jackson signed it into law Oct.

'In effect, the neocons showed that their influence over the

ethnic cleansing, religious intolerance and a disregard of Constitutional limits. As a tyrant, he disregarded the Constitution

Update on the Federal occupation - NorthCom activities
'Then on December 1, the Washington Post reported that the Pentagon will deploy 20,000 troops nationwide by 2011... The
pretext is national security. In fact, they'll be on-call against another major terrorist attack, real or contrived, as
well as civil unrest given the gravity of the economic crisis, its affect on millions, and likelihood that sooner or later
they'll react. Armed combat troops will supplement militarized local police in case security crackdown are ordered or
martial law declared.'
'“The people of this nation [sic!] depend on the Guard to help
them no matter what,” said Army Maj. Gen. Stephen F. Villacorta, the U.S. Northern Command liaison to the Chief, National
Guard Bureau. NORTHCOM’s main area of responsibility, he said, is the continental United States, and coordination with
state and local authorities as well as the National Guard is essential for success.... Villacorta said this partnership will
continue to grow. “NORTHCOM is seeking to expand its partnership with NGB and the states to make our job easier when
it comes time to respond to an event,” he said.'

Job Prospects Lowest Since 1982; More Jobs Lost Since World War II
'US companies' expectations for hiring staff are at their
lowest since the recession of 1982, a new survey says. The Manpower employment survey found that more US employers plan to
get rid of staff than those that plan to hire staff in the second quarter of 2009...The Manpower index measures the difference
between employers that plan to add jobs and those that plan to cut them...More US workers lost jobs last year than in any
year since World War II, with employers axing 2.6 million posts. The US jobless rate rose to 8.1% in February, the highest
in 16 years.'
The free market didn't bring this upon Dixie, as the federal and other governments around
the world have prevented it from being free to begin with. These individuals have brought this upon us, while they
enjoy their status as the few who profit from the system. They ran with worthless 'money'
and economic 'intervention,' and look what they continue to do to us! That Federal Reserve note is not money;
it's not backed by gold, silver, or even pocket lint! It's spent into existence (debt) and backed
by nothing more than Washington's 'promise!' Please, answer this for me, y'all: can we trust anything
they do or say? NO!
'National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers'?!?!?!?
'March 10th is National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers,
and man oh man could they use some love. Obama's victory may protect Roe v Wade in the Supreme Court, but state legislatures
are doing their best to pile on the obstacles and restrictions...The women's health activists who form the backbone of
many clinic staffs are retiring and proving hard to replace in the more conservative and rural regions, like upstate New York,
the South and Midwest...Low pay is another factor...Then too, med school policies mean only a small proportion of medical
students are even learning how to perform this relatively simple procedure.'
Is this not among the most disgusting
things y'all have ever read? Notice this propagandist at work: using the terms 'abortion,' 'this relatively
simple procedure,' and 'abortion providers,' as opposed to calling them what they really are -
baby killing and baby killers! Kindly notice how the 'low' pay is among the first 'problems' mentioned;
sadly, there is, in fact, much mammon to be gained in the murder 'market.' The 'awful' restrictions
the author mentions may be in the right direction, but it's by absolutely no means enough! Does Washington,
District of Criminals have the right to decide whether or NOT this is morally and legally right, or do we? Remember
that, to a government which does not respect the lives of the unborn, we are all expendable in their eyes.
Blockade Runner Believed to Be Found off Texas Coast
'Experts know of about a dozen Civil War-era [sic!] shipwrecks
off the Texas coast. They might have just identified another. Contractors searching for debris from Hurricane Ike near Galveston
Island took a sonar scan of what the Texas Historical Commission believes is a previously undiscovered ship carrying cotton
that sank in 1864. The Carolina, also known as the Caroline, was a privately owned merchant ship that tried to break though
a federal blockade of Galveston. After being pursued for several hours by Union gunships, the crew of the Carolina ran the
ship aground in shallow water between Galveston and San Luis Pass, then set it on fire rather than let it be captured.'
'North Korea on Monday put its armed forces on standby, severed
a military hot line with South Korea and warned that any attempt by the United States to shoot down a rocket launch would
trigger an immediate war. The escalation in tensions coincided with the onset of joint U.S.-South Korean war games, which
brought a U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier off the Korean Peninsula...Pyongyang appeared to be moving ahead with plans
to send what it claims is a communications satellite into orbit. U.S. and Japanese officials charge that the launch is a cover
for a test of North Korea's latest-generation ballistic missile, potentially powerful enough to hit Alaska, and that their
own antimissile batteries may try to shoot it down...Pyongyang said it had put its armed forces on "full combat readiness,"
and it vowed immediate retaliation for any strike..."It's purely a defensive exercise," said Dave Palmer, a
spokesman in Seoul for U.S. Forces Korea.'
Should we trust Kim Jong Il? No, he's a brutal, foreign
dictator who tyrannises his own people! However, should we blindly follow that foreign, trigger-happy empire based
in Washington, District of Criminals? No, they've conquered, used, and lied to us Southrons for far too long and
have lost all legitimacy. True defence is absolutely justified; foreign meddling (including this 'purely defensive
exercise' with South Korea) is another matter, only dragging us into another unnecessary war, leading to the deaths
of even more Southron soldiers in a war that serves only those capitalising on their sacrifices. May God bless
and free our Southron homeland from all foreign rule!
With Border Wide Open, Feds 'Rush' to 'Aid' Mexico Amid Chaos
'The United States is working to rush assistance to Mexico as
it fights violent drug cartels, including equipment to help authorities track the narcotics mafia, the top US military officer
said..."We all have a sense of urgency about this," he [Admiral Mike Mullen] said. During his meetings with the
country's military leadership, Mullen said he discussed how Washington could help in the battle against the powerful cartels,
citing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) as a crucial element...With last year's death toll from drug-related
violence at 5,300 as well-financed cartels orchestrate a campaign of intimidation and kidnappings, the crisis over the border
has become a serious national security concern for the United States...The admiral said there was no discussion of deploying
US troops to the border...As part of the US Merida Initiative that gives Mexico 1.4 billion dollars over three years to fight
the growing drug mafia...'
Y'all heard it straight from the horse's mouth: Washington considers the
violence along the border with Mexico an urgent matter, yet why are the borders still wide open? If one was to
actually attempt to address this, wouldn't the very first step be to contain the problem? It would be, but the feds are
not concerned about 'small' matters, such as our security. Washington would much rather hand out billions
of dollars to the Mexican government. In fact, by not defending the border and encouraging this invasion, the feds are
the very individuals attacking what non-existent sense of security one could feel while living under this regime.
'From tiny embryonic cells to the large-scale physics of global
warming, President Barack Obama urged researchers on Monday to follow science and not ideology as he abolished contentious
Bush-era restraints on stem-cell research. "Our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound
science and moral values."..."It is about ensuring that scientific data is never distorted or concealed to serve
a political agenda - and that we make scientific decisions based on facts, not ideology," Obama said...The most immediate
effect will allow federally funded researchers to use hundreds of new embryonic stem cell lines...It will be months before
the stem cell money flows; the average NIH stem cell grant is $1.5 million spread out over four years...But Rep. Tom Price,
R-Ga., chairman of the Republican study committee, said the president's new policy would "force taxpayers to subsidize
research that will destroy human embryos."'
Would you spend your hard-earned dollars on something
you deem morally reprehensible? Well, too bad; that doesn't matter to Mr Obama, as he is spending it on just that
anyway - at a time when most are struggling to make ends meet, no less! He claims that this decision is not motivated
by a political agenda, which is the equivalent of saying that he did not run for office for a political agenda to begin with.
If one reads the article in its entirety, one will note how this matter is 'cleverly' framed as providing scientists
with their 'freedom;' never mind the freedom, or the lives for that matter, of the human beings destroyed
in the process.
One will even note Mr Obama's vague mention of being 'a man of faith,'
apparently referring to self-worship. A brief examination of history will show just how many kings, military dictators,
and other tyrants have attempted to rationalise their evil, oppressive actions through God, but they act in direct contradiction
of Him. 'Somehow' obedience to them and only them is the ultimate demand. Obama claims to act on
behalf of a 'majority of Americans,' but even if that were the case, he mostly definitely is not acting on behalf
of a majority of Southrons. That's the bottom line, folks; the longer we in Dixie remain under the control of a hostile,
foreign empire, the more policies such as this will be forced down our throats.
'Mr. Williams was a passionate historian and proud Southern
gentleman. It was his love of Confederate history that inspired his final procession. A horse-drawn wagon flanked by the Sons
of Confederate Veterans carried his Rebel flag-covered coffin to its final resting place. Daughters of the Confederacy led
nearly 200 guests in "Amazing Grace" and "Dixie" at the gravesite.'
'Larry Ford owns a piece of property in Fort Walton Beach on Beal
Parkway. Earlier this week, he put up two large signs voicing
his opinion of the president to go along with a Confederate flag that already flies there....'
Ridiculous
how putting up a sign and a flag as a political protest makes you 'Worst Person in the World' while the Feds
murder and rob people around the globe on a daily basis. The Feds are not alone in this - they are just (easily) the worst
offenders. Other central regimes violate liberty and life in similar ways though. And amidst all the tyranny we and others
are subjected to, the talking heads would rather blast a man's flag and protest of the new Emperor in unholy DC. Olberman
the partisan hack needs to get his priorities in order and target his outrage where it is justified.
'The S.C. Department of Archives and History is hoping that
the sale of some 150-year-old banknotes will generate new money for the cash-strapped agency. The surplus property division
of the S.C. Budget and Control Board has listed the Civil War-era money for sale on eBay. For instance, the starting bid for
a canceled $4 bank note — issued from the Bank of the State of South Carolina, which collapsed during the Civil War
[sic!] — starts at $150.'

'"All the characters were real, living people," Gibbons
said. "What we are telling you is the truth of what happened. It is not a story we are making up. This is a truth-based
history lesson that we are trying to give it in an entertaining way." Gibbons plays the mother-in-law who comes to assist
the women with their preparations to flee. "Mother Oliver is staying, holding down the fort so to speak, trying to keep
those Yankees away," Gibbons said... "New Bern's Civil War history is so unique, and entertaining, quite frankly,
so we are really going to emphasis that aspect of it. It's March 14, 1862, and you are there."
'A world Empire financed by scraps of paper' - Dr Ron Paul (mp3)
One of Ron Paul's best speeches before Congress ever! The Virginian
Rebel posted the video here. SLMN made most of the speech into an mp3 file you can download at the link below.
'This paper presents the first-ever comprehensive ranking of
the American states on their public policies affecting individual freedoms in the economic, social, and personal spheres.
We develop and justify our ratings and aggregation procedure on explicitly normative criteria, defining individual freedom
as the ability to dispose of one’s own life, liberty, and justly acquired property however one sees fit, so long as
one does not coercively infringe on other individuals’ ability to do the same.'
'When Civil War [sic!] battles in Mississippi are mentioned,
those most often referred to are the Battle of Vicksburg and the Battle of Shiloh. Little attention is given to a decisive
battle which took place southwest of Raymond in 1863.'
What's 'conservative' about Limbaugh and most of the GOP?
'I am bemused, appalled, and fascinated — more or less at the
same time — by the foofarah over Rush Limbaugh’s CPAC speech. His version of conservatism is popular, of course, but is not recognizable
as any kind of conservatism worth defending.'
'In recent weeks, he has become the unofficial spokesman against Obama’s trillion-dollar economic stimulus plan.
Other Republican governors like Arnold Schwarzenegger beg for more federal subsidies, but Sanford has threatened to decline
large portions of the bailout, preferring not to bridle South Carolinians with the accompanying obligations. While cable’s
talking heads shout at him, he somberly quotes Adam Smith and Friedrich Hayek. He worries aloud that the bailouts represent
a “crisis of American civilization.”'
'A month after Michael Steele became the first African-American
chairman of the Republican National Committee, key party leaders are worried that the GOP has made a costly mistake —
one that will make it even harder for them to take back power from the dominant Democratic Party.'

'Much has been made by the new administration of the idea of
national service and volunteerism. While service to one's community is certainly admirable, it is not the federal government's
place to "encourage" or promote volunteerism. Moreover, there are troubling signs that national service could transition
from voluntary to mandatory, or de facto mandatory, such as the requirement of service in order to be granted a diploma, or
something along those lines...'
'The Civil War (and true with all history) happened in the past
and there is nothing we can do to change why or how it occurred. But by allowing ourselves to study history with an open mind
and an attention to detail, we can learn from our past and instill in us a greater respect for those who lived it.'
'Ruby Smith is a “real daughter” of the Confederacy,
one of about a half dozen children of veterans of the Civil War remaining in Texas. Mrs. Smith, who turned 102 years
old in December, is the daughter of Confederate private Edward Augusta Mann, who served in the 9th Georgia Artillery, according
to his military record from the National Archives in Washington, D.C.'
